My first post!!!
Okay so I have been thinking about blogging for a little while now but when I visit these blogs with a million followers and a million sponsors it is rather intimidating! I have been putting it off simply because of the fear of failing, but I got over that and thought I would give it a try! As I said in my intro I have some craziness coming up in my life, some good and some scary! I received a call this morning that mu insurance approved my spinal fusion and that they want to schedule this in the nest few weeks!! Spinal fusion? YES SPINAL FUSION and I am only 28!! ahhh On a happier more exciting note my husband and I turned in our applications this weekend at our church for a missions trip to India in July/August that I am realllllllly excited about! My life is absolutely chaotic! I call it beautiful chaos. That is my way of trying to stay positive and keep from having a meltdown at any moment in time! haha..seriously though. I have a VERY busy life, a lot going on, two VERY busy, high energy kids and a ton of friends and family that never leave me with a dull moment. So I have to try and stay upbeat about it all! Speaking of busy, I have a VERY busy mind. I never stop thinking, over analyzing, critiquing, observing and everything else in between. It is exhausting and I think that typing some of it out and getting it out of my crazy head will be extremely therapeutic! I have a lot to say and I am hoping that someone out there may be interested in the craziness that comes out of my mouth! :)

Hi, Ellie!
ReplyDeleteI found your blog on cafe mom. Please, DON'T fear failure. Failing is not as bad as never trying, and I think if you love to write and you have things to say, well put it out there. Whether or not you get a ton of hits, it will be good for you and theraputic for the soul! I've got some hits on my page, but it took a long time. Keep it up, and keep posting! The more you update your content, the more people will come and read (:
I am sorry you have to go through a spinal fusion. Sounds scary...good luck with it and be well (: The mission trip sounds amazing, and amazing of you to give yourself in that way to help others!
Keep going!
Thank you!! You are soo sweet! Thank you so much for your comment!!
ReplyDeleteI too found you on Cafe Mom. I can so relate. I started blogging as well and too felt I would fail. There are so many blogs on facebook and pintrest that have thousands of followers. Hopefully that we be us too one day. I have found its easy to get an audience by pinning to pintrest. Good luck with your spinal fusion. Take it easy.
ReplyDeletehey, i found your blog on Cafe mom. I put off blogging for a long time, but now am loving it. i started to blog as a baby journal, then changed to a home school blog since I was doing that, but have decided homeschooling is not for us. So now I have a blog that is for all sorts of things.
ReplyDeleteI had major major back surgery in 2000. I had bad scoliosis at 17. and they fused the some of the vertebrae.
Anyhow- i will be back to read your blog.
I also found your blog via cafemom. My blog is Journey to Jannah (http://leavesofknowledge.blogspot.com) so come by and check it out. I'd appreciate comments on any of my posts. Be careful in India. I'm sorry you have to go through the spinal surgery. Just pray and trust in the Creator's will. Don't be afraid of failure. Make a signature on cafemom and any other websites you visit that has your blog in the signature.

> I ran across Ellie searching on the Internet for an India trip in 2013,
> though I don't know if her's is still upcoming.

> I'd be delighted to send Ellie's team a free box of "Jesus" DVDs (gospel of Luke)
> in the relevant Indian languages for the trip if you'd like them.
> I'd just need an address, how many you'd
> like (maybe 30 per person?), and a deadline (coming up very fast).
> Maybe I should ask a few more questions to pick languages.
> Your teams can hand the discs out on
> the street or just hand them over to a ministry. All free from Keith! (My offer is good for the 10/40 Window
